My Creative Journey

As a self-taught mixed media artist, I explore intuitive art through various mediums.

I am a mixed media artist currently creating abstract paintings. I grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago and transplanted to a northern suburb. As a curious and creative child who loved to draw and incorporate mud pies into drawings, I grew up to become an Accounting and IT professional. Sometimes we let fear take hold, but the curious and creativity is something that followed me into adulthood and coupled with eternal optimism, I've made sure to explore different types of art like stained glass, pottery, photography, and painting. The visual arts of photography and painting are ones that have been a constant in my life.

I am a self-taught artist and rely on my inner curiosity and creative drive to create. If there had to be a label to my art, I would call it intuitive art. I don't have a set process other than to use materials and paint to reflect how I'm feeling in the moment.

I am currently in residence at the Cornelia Arts Building in Chicago, IL.
